For the game to be fun, you should play with at least 5 to 10 kids. The more people there are, the better.
If you're playing with toddlers or young preschoolers, it's fine to play with only a few of them so you can teach them how to dance, listen for when the music stops, and find a chair quickly.
For toddlers, it's best not to take away a chair after every round because they might not understand yet that games have rules.
How to Play Musical Chairs
How does the game "musical chairs" work?
Children, chairs, and music are all you need to play friday night funkin Musical Chairs.
The chairs are usually set up in a circle with their backs facing out.
For each child, you'll need one chair.
The adult plays some music, and the kids dance however they want to. One chair is taken out of the circle.
When the music stops, the kids have to sit down as fast as they can.
If you can't find a seat, you're out and have to wait on the side.
Keep playing the game until the last child sits in the last chair.
Then begin another round.
